Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Clinic Physiotherapy (AMSMC) is looking for a motivated “Orthopaedic and Sports” Physiotherapist to be part of our collaborative, community-focused, and multi-disciplinary team. There are upcoming opportunities to join our Downtown and North Vancouver clinics.
About Us:
AMSMC has been in practice since 1981 and has strong roots in the community. We currently have locations in Downtown Vancouver, UBC, and North Vancouver. AMSMC has been in practice since 1981, offering high quality patient-centered care specializing in musculoskeletal and sport injuries. We offer services in physiotherapy, massage therapy and kinesiology. We also offer specialized services such as concussion therapy, running assessments, bike fitting, clinical pilates, on-field rehabilitation, therapist-led run clubs, GLA:D classes, sport-specific programs such as movement screens and training programs (for dance, ski, hockey, swim, etc.), and modern modalities such as shockwave therapy and blood flow restriction therapy. Our clients vary from all levels of abilities and through all stages of life. We offer individual 30 and 60 min sessions.
Position:
– We are currently looking for candidates who are motivated to grow and learn with us to provide the best patient-centered care for clients with active/sport lifestyles
– A full-time physiotherapist (part-time will also be considered) and a 5 – 6 month locum position (beginning in January); and the other position
is at our North Vancouver location for a part-time physiotherapist.
– Successful candidates should feel comfortable providing a combination of education, exercise and movement retraining, and hands-on treatment to help clients move and feel better.
– 5 days/week and the part-time position 2-3 days/week, with a mix of morning and afternoon/evening shifts.
– Caseload consists of predominantly private clients, some ICBC, and no WorkSafe.
– Post graduate training in manual therapy and IMS/Dry Needling is an asset, but not essential.
– New grads are welcome to apply.
– Mentorship opportunities available (from experienced physiotherapists, FCAMPTs, and Sport physiotherapists)
